As a user of Technology, we have come to expect that all our
applications work flawlessly.
End users are not aware, nor would like to be involved, of
the delivery of content and applications on their end user devices (PC,
laptops, tablets and mobiles)
But the reality in that to deliver an above expectations
experience of content and applications, our devices need to be configured
properly, have the right capacity of resources and have regular preventive maintenance.
Countless times, I am sure, we have all just “rebooted” our
systems and the application works fine. There are countless jokes about Microsoft
Windows misbehaving. Windows 97 was an unmitigated disaster as an Operating
System. So those hundreds of Operating System files help the hardware and networking
elements to work with each other seamlessly to deliver what you literally want.
At times, just like mechanical parts, they get corrupted or faulty. Symptoms
range from slowdown to one application not working at all.
Apart from this there are situations when a new application is
loaded, say a banking app. There new apps assume that your end user device has
some basic bare minimum hardware and software installed. Many times, they fail.
Another example is printers not working. All it requires is a small software “printer
driver” to be updated.
In the IT dictionary this type of defect resolution is
called “patching”. It is basically reinstallation of a software code. It can
take from minutes to hours (if the whole system has to be formatted).
The basic requirement for a person to rectify this issue is
access to the device. For decades our biggest IT companies provide this service
to US, Europe and other countries “Remotely” from Bangalore, Hyderabad etc.
We all know this and how do they achieve this. By using
reliable and high bandwidth at the end user premises.
With the advent of “Broadband” in India the reliability and
availability of bandwidth is no longer an issue. And hence we can use the same
technology used by our “Enterprise Companies” for the home and small business
segment.
The advantage of remote technology is that we can start work
on solving the problem/ issue immediately. No need to schedule a physical visit
by your AMC engineer. Also since we start early, we can get you back double on
your work/ applications.
Another advantage is we maintain history of problems faced
by user and particular devices. This helps us diagnose the problem better and
if it is Repeat problems, we will find a permanent root cause and advice. It is
just like your blood test / medical report when you go to a doctor.
At ePrompto, we have developed a SECURE and RELIABLE
platform to transparently solve your issues. We use genuine software and
hardware and hence YOU PAY AFTER PROBLEM IS RESOLVED.
So, come join us as we help each other enjoy the
applications and content, responsibly.
